Monster Friends

Friends. They are the best. They stick with us through thick and thin. They even see us when we look like monsters without all of our make-up. That would make us "monster friends", right? Ok, it's a stretch, but I needed a lead in to today's card and that's all I've got.

Using the "so ugly they're cute" monsters or Little Uglies Too recently released from Clear and Simple stamps, I couldn't resist this card.

Did you notice his tummy? Yep, it's a shaker card. If you've never made a shaker, they are REALLY easy to make. Since he already had a great guideline to his stomach, I took an xacto knife and trimmed it out. I then covered the back with a piece of transparency. To create the space for your shakeables, you need to line the back of the opening with foam tape or cut up dimensionals, like this:

Then, just place whatever you are shaking inside and you can either stick it right to your card, or stick it to a piece of cardstock and then adhere it to your card. Kids LOVE these cards.
